Everytime I return to Sheezy, there seem to have been some drastic changes.
I must say that Sheezy is well keeping up with DeviantArt's developments, and other than the slowness I would say SheezyArt rocks.
My last journal entry was written well over a year now, and a lot has changed.
1) Study: I switched from Communication Science to Media & Culture, another scientific education.
2) Residence: I moved out! As of February 1st, I'm living on my own in the beautiful Dutch capital, Amsterdam. I really enjoy it.
3) Website: I changed my personal website into a photography portfolio website to display my photography
4) Job: I finally got a good part-time job.
I have had jobs in the past that have traumatized me. I quit my first job after a month of torture (I worked as a telemarketeer, selling things to people on the phone). Afraid of another job failure, I then worked at the Albert Heijn (those of you who know John Fealey's sketch about the AH must know what kind of hell I am talking about, and NO, it's NOT Dutch Disneyland!). For those who don't know what I'm talking about:
.
After two years of being unemployed I decided to work at Albert Heijn to Go, which was even worse. There were so many cranky and irritated customers (and rush hour was quite hectic), and not to mention scary people I was left alone with on my first day at work. There I was, on Friday night, selling booze and cigarettes to violent drunks. ON MY OWN.
I quit and found myself another job, and now that I write this journal I really wonder why I started selling a Dutch newspaper ("Het Parool"). Most. Unthankful. Job. Ever. I could have known, though, but it seemed like easy money. It was, say, one of the biggest mistakes I made. But at least my co-workers were very nice.
So now I have a job that actually suits me.
I realized trying to sell things to people is just not my cup of tea. I love giving away things for free and I love making people happy instead of grumpy! It is not in my nature to bother people with things that don't interest them, I want to give them things relevant to their interests.
So. My job is to hand out samples, flyers and coupons to people in the streets, and I'm also responsible for the photography-part.
HAHAHA, I reread this entry and WOW. My brain and grammar is fail y0. I'm too lazy to correct all the errors and weird sentences now so bear with me
